Why did Amber Downing leave KDBC aka KTSM?
Umm? Amber left for bigger and better opportunities. Amber never intended to spend more than three years here.
What do you think of Luke Lyddon or whatever his name is?
Mr.Lyddon seems like a decent fellow with a firm grasp of what it takes to be a good anchor/reporter. But, I do sense that he is not happy here. I believe that he will stay here for no more than one year.
What happened to Nichole Ayoub?
Who really knows for sure? I have heard a few rumors since her departure. Are any of them true? I do not know.
Do you think that the ratings for the KTSM morning show will decline since Mark Mathis is long gone?
Yes. I do see the numbers declining within the next few months. Monica Cortez seems like a down to earth person, but she is more boring than a Pastor Tom Brown sermon!
There was a point in time when you could find me at Leo’s at least once a month. Sometime around early 2008, Leo’s Mexican Food and I parted ways. The food was no longer edible and the service slowly became terrible. But one thing that can be said about the westside location is that local newsheads frequented this location for many years. A lot of KVIA and KFOX TV anchors and reporters could be spotted entering and exiting Leo’s. Amber Sullins, Celina Avila, Chuck DeBroder, and Sandra Diaz are a few names that come to mind when recalling all of the newsheads that ate at this once great establishment. The first time I saw Sandra Diaz at Leo’s, she was eating with her girlfriend. What made me laugh about that visit was that they hardly ate anything from their plates. That right there tells you that the quality of the food was declining at a fast rate. On Celina Avila’s visit, she just ordered a drink or two. What was it that she consumed? Your guess is as good as mine. So do newsheads still frequent the westside Leo’s? I have no clue! Probably so, and if that is the case then they have bad taste in food or they are missing taste buds!
The very first time I saw Felipa Solis in person was in the Spring of 2003. It had to have been sometime around early March. If my mind serves me correctly, I was in town to visit my parents for the weekend. When I arrived on the westside of town, the urge to eat McDonald’s entered my mind, body, and soul! My body was in dire need of junk food! So I visited the McDonald’s on North Mesa. Upon entering, the first person that I see standing in line is Felipa Solis. She is standing with a fairly young man that can only be her son or grandson. She was probably the second or third person standing in line. As Felipa is approaching the counter she starts raising her voice towards her son/grandson. “What is wrong with you? This is a McDonald’s! Why are you having such a hard time making a decision?” Her grandson eventually ordered a Happy Meal and an extra cheeseburger. It is safe to assume that Felipa might have been on the rag. Who knows for sure? When you are a young man sometimes it can be hard to choose an item on a McDonald’s menu. Every item on that menu is tasty and satisfying! If you were expecting a huge dramatic story, then I apologize for not giving you that.
Grab your vomit bags quickly! KTSM is going to host a vomit inducing wedding special this Saturday! Learn how to select a stupid wedding ring and waste thousands of dollars on a marriage that is only going to last for one year or less! Ah yeah dude! I really am ready to vomit all over myself and my home on Saturday night! Who is with me?
And that ghost is Daniel Marin! Daniel you need to walk towards the light and return to the place that KVIA sent you to! You remember! El Paso public relations hell! On a serious note, if I can remember correctly Daniel left KVIA to pursue a career in music. Can you remember the name of the band he was in? Was he kicked out of the band? Did everyone in the band go their seperate ways? Can someone please fill me in!
So why not hire some stumpy chick with a so so voice to sing to you and your loved one for NINETY DOLLARS! That sounds great right?
